Park Chang-il, CEO of Changjowon Co., Ltd., visited Uiwang City Hall on the 18th and delivered ₩5 million worth of food and daily necessities to Mayor Kim Sang-don, asking that they be given to neighbors in need.
"Amid the social hardships intensified by COVID-19, I made this donation in the spirit of standing alongside our neighbors," CEO Park said.
Uiwang Mayor Kim Sang-don said, "Donations from people across all walks of life are a great strength to vulnerable groups going through tough days due to the prolonged pandemic. The city, too, will do its utmost so that no neighbor is left behind."
The city will hand over the donation to the Gyeonggi Community Chest of Korea, which will deliver it to vulnerable residents in the area.
